With traditional refined design and products, in 1955, Burberry was obtained the "Royal Warrant" badge from Queen Elizabeth. Later in 1989, Burberry has won the "Royal Warrant" badge which was awarded by Prince of Wales. In 1967, Burberry began to use the famous plaid pattern on the umbrellas, bags and scarves, and increasingly demonstrates the characteristics of Burberry products.
In 1970, Burberry opened the first flagship store on East 57 Street of New York. In 1980, Burberry enlarged its retail business constantly in the United States, except New York, people can see the chain stores in San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, Washington and other places. In 1997, Ross • Mary • Bravo became the chief executive officer of Burberry, a new management team brought new Burberry look. New boutique design, new sequence produces and the unique advertising, which gave old Burberry brand new life.
In 1999, Bravo invited Britain's most famous fashion model Kate Moss as the prolocutor of Burberry, she shot a group of advertising inserts and posters. Even today, a poster is still regarded as a classic. It shows that Kate Moss dressed on plaid wedding veil with the grooms who wearing a plaid coat, held a “lattice of England wedding,” and all of guests in the wedding were wearing Burberry clothing; all the tools which used in the wedding were also Burberry. These posters were popular in everywhere, it not only made Burberry become a popular fashion brand again and let the brand quickly accepted by all ages of consumers.
In the new century, Burberry has been become a symbol of quality of life because of its enduring fashion. In 2000 and 2001, Burberry won the classical and modern design of the series award which issued by British Fashion Council, in the 21st century, Burberry speed up the step of its global expansion. September 2000, its global flagship store was opened in New Bond Street of London. October 2001, Burberry's flagship store opened in Beverly Hills of Los Angeles where the Hollywood star-studded. Since then, Burberry has built its unique style store in some of the important cities such as Germany, Spain, Italy, Russia, and Japan.
